Taking care of your Surf Skis

It is not all about purchasing a surf ski but also about maintaining it. These are not my words. They came from the mouth of a surf ski expert. I was having an internet chat with one of the surf ski expert last week. He was providing expert inputs on stellar skis and kayaks for past 8 years. The conversation was very informative and worth sharing.

He was a great believer of post ski maintenance of these Stellar surf skis. Post ski session clean ups help prevent corrosion from the elements, the salt water and oxygen combination can be lethal to various parts of your ski. So, always keep a check on post ski service of the Stellar paddles. The storage of the surf ski was another of his major concern. The modern stellar surf skis come in numerous shapes and sizes and adequate storage should be provided accordingly. The place should be dry and have some fresh air, an open compartment with an open window nearby. He shared another important information about the bung of the surf skis. He wanted to ensure the bug of the ski is removed, so the air in the ski will not contract or expand, distorting its shape.

These stellar surf skis are good enough to be durable but some of these steps must be followed.

Happy Surfing!
