Accessories you must have for your Billiard table

One of my friends purchased a pool table last month. I was having a word with him on his experience so far with the pool table. Our conversation helped me out with some great information which is worth sharing. He briefed me on certain indispensable accessories required with the pool table.

The first on the list was billiard cloth. Any pool table requires some amount of maintenance for a smooth flow of pool cues. The cloth used on the table should be of good quality so that the balls can have a smooth roll across the table after each shot. Another accessory required is the Billiard rack. They help you rack up the balls before game. They are used for different games of pool, such as eight-ball, one pocket, bank pool, straight pool, snooker and other billiard games. The series of racks may include triangular and diamond shaped. Other very important pool table accessories may include rail rubbers. They are generally located on the sides of your playing area. They are used so that the ball can rebound off them and not get away from the table. Other important accessories of pool table include billiard brush and pool table covers. Most amazingly some of these features are also used in table tennis tables.

I hope you get these accessories at the earliest.

The Hardware for an ideal pool table

The other day I was reading an article in a leading sports magazine. The article laid stress on the need of having a portable and dependable billiards pool table. There were certain aspects mentioned that were worth sharing. Here is a brief on some of them.

First you should make sure that your pool table is light weight. This ensures smooth transfer of the billiard table from one room to another depending on the need. Second, was the need to use hard wood in preparation of the pool table? It is believed that hardwood offers one of the best looking finishes for any pool table. Oak, cherry, and walnut can be shaped into traditional, elegant designs and finished with multiple coats of lacquer to give it the appearance of a piece of furniture rather than a billiard table. People these days also prefer using black finish touch or a finishing based on room-table combination. The article also mentioned another fast growing trend. The trend of using slate tables has also grown in the recent times. For hardcore billiard lovers slate is the ideal choice because of its ultra smooth synthetic base.

I hope this post had relevant inputs on the exteriors of pool tables.

Taking care of your Surf Skis

It is not all about purchasing a surf ski but also about maintaining it. These are not my words. They came from the mouth of a surf ski expert. I was having an internet chat with one of the surf ski expert last week. He was providing expert inputs on stellar skis and kayaks for past 8 years. The conversation was very informative and worth sharing.

He was a great believer of post ski maintenance of these Stellar surf skis. Post ski session clean ups help prevent corrosion from the elements, the salt water and oxygen combination can be lethal to various parts of your ski. So, always keep a check on post ski service of the Stellar paddles. The storage of the surf ski was another of his major concern. The modern stellar surf skis come in numerous shapes and sizes and adequate storage should be provided accordingly. The place should be dry and have some fresh air, an open compartment with an open window nearby. He shared another important information about the bung of the surf skis. He wanted to ensure the bug of the ski is removed, so the air in the ski will not contract or expand, distorting its shape.

These stellar surf skis are good enough to be durable but some of these steps must be followed.

Happy Surfing!
